About the Author
Barbara H. Shannon has been perfecting her art skills since childhood. Desiring a career in the art world, she studied Studio Art and Art Education through undergraduate and graduate school at California State University, San Jose. Her passion for the arts is expressed in her concurrent venues as an award winning painter, free lance illustrator, portraitist and secondary school art educator.
The independent learner's need for a textbook was the impetus for writing Exploring Art Media. Through her classes and the book Barbara strives to introduce both the fun and the serious aspects of studio art.
